Franziskaner Hefe-Weisse

Popular in many countries all over the globe. In the course of its 600-year history, Franziskaner  has emerged as one of the most successful and distinctive German wheat beer brands of all times, which smoothly blends time-honored traditions with active modern lifestyles.

Beer lovers appreciate its full-bodied yet zesty flavor, the result of a high proportion of wheat malt, carefully tended yeast cultures, and higher carbonation.  Brewed entirely in accordance with the German Purity Law.

Franziskaner with Mango and Lemon puree????? I guess you could never offer this in Bavaria without getting kicked out of the country :-D But it sounds interesting, I will have to try it. And yes, it is my favorite beer too. Now that I can get it in Australia I will have to apply for citizenship -)

I love Hefe's. This is my fave I discovered while living in Germany for 7 years. Schneider, Paulaner, Erdinger and Shoeferhoffer also very good good but Franziskaner takes the prize IMO.

I have been going to Germany regularly for the past 10 years and this is one of the only beers i drink. My mother in law keeps at least 3 cases in the cellar for me, what a woman. Now that i can get it here i am in heaven. One of the best beers in the world. A Belgium beer called Palm runs a close second
